These garlic and cheese biscuits freeze extremely well and are sure to be a hit. Ive also used fresh garlic which were extra yummy. What have you got to loose. Make some for yourself and share if you dare.

Garlic Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

Garlic Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder [more is ok!]
– mix these 3 in bowl 1st and get the powdery stuff together

now add this stuff:

2 cups flour

6 Tbls very cold butter – (5 will work, but not less)

– “Cut in” the butter until all the butter pieces are small pea sized

now add:
2 Tbsp veg oil, [Wesson is what Gramda used, so I do ]
1 cup or so of grated extra-sharp cheddar cheese

toss it together and let it get gooey :-)

add the milk, about 3/4 cup or so, a little at a time..
- use buttermilk, whole, skim, whatever you like and have on hand. I can’t tell the difference in my world

when the powdery flour disappears and the stuff is looking like dough you’re set.

put a bit of flour on your baking pan and drop those soon-to-be biscuits out with your fork. You should end up with about a dozen.

Cook at 400 for 15 min:
- reality is 375-400 until brown and that will be 12-17 mins

Watch the dang video and have some fun while doing this
